IMF: Financial crisis cost 30mn jobs

The International Monetary Fund director general Dominique Strauss-Kahn says the global economic crises has cost 30 million jobs worldwide.

"The world has lost 30 million jobs because of the global crisis, and the expectations for the years to come are 400 million," Strauss-Kahn said at the opening of a human development forum in Morocco.
"In the framework of the new globalization, the first priority is employment, the second priority is employment and the third priority is employment," the director insisted.

The International Forum on Human Development is taking place at Agadir in southern Morocco on Monday and Tuesday.

Over 1,500 experts from around the world, including the president of the Islamic Development Bank, Sheikh Ahmed Mohamed Ali, are taking part in the event.
