South African gold output fell 5.3 percent in volume terms and total mineral production fell 4.9 percent in June compared with the same month last year, data showed on Thursday.

Production of non-gold minerals fell 4.9 percent in June, Statistics South Africa said on its website www.statssa.gov.za

In May, South African gold output fell 4.9 percent in volume terms and total mineral production fell 7.6 percent compared with the same month last year. Production of non-gold minerals fell 8 percent in that same month.
